Should Be Covered:
The first important step of maintaining a MIG welder is you must include the machine and other necessary equipment when you are not using them. For adding the whole machine, you can use a protective shield. Moreover, you must confirm that the shielding is appropriately covered. By doing this, your welder will look newer for a long time, and it will work correctly.
Clean The Equipment:
You should clean the welder machine and other necessary equipment periodically for getting better welding result. Make sure that you are removing all its dust and dirt after every use, and when you are not using it, you must also keep it clean. Because if there was any dust on the machine then it will malfunction and it may also create a problem in welding. Alternatively, if you won’t keep the machine clean, then you may need to replace or repair its parts which only become damaged by the dust. So it is necessary to keep the welder and its parts clean for a better result.
You must check the electrical ingredients of a MIG welder. Make sure that you are connecting the welder at the appropriate fuse and there was no circuit problem. You must also check that you have been set the voltage and amperage correctly. Moreover, make sure that you are working just as the manufacturer recommended. This step is significant.

For avoiding troubleshooting, you must keep the driver role. Make sure that the driver role is adequately adjusted (neither too tight or not too loose).

Drive Roll’s High Pressure:
If the driver roll’s influence is too high, then it can crush the wire. To avoid this, you must blow out the liner by using an air nozzle before feeding the fence by the hose assembly.
Clean Gun Nozzle:
You must clean the gun nozzle regularly. The gun nozzle usually filled with the spatter when you are doing welding. So avoiding this you must clean the gun nozzle regularly.
Cleared Out Gas Lines:
You must check the gas lines and clear out them before starting to weld. Because insufficient gas flow can cause porosity problem of the weld. Moreover, be careful about plugging in the gas nozzle correctly.
You must check the feeder connection. If the driver roll is worn out, then the feeder connection will defect. In this situation, you must replace the driver roll as soon as possible, and it is better to not work with poor feeder connection. By replacing the driver roll, you can avoid the problem.

Because of small and obsessive welding situation the undercutting is caused. For avoiding this problem you have to reduce the voltage and current and can improve the welding skill.
Handle and Trigger:
You can’t neglect the handle and trigger. You must take care both of this because it is an essential part of a MIG welder. You must clean then periodically and adequately take care of them. Because a broken handle can cause an electrical shock and faulty trigger will create a problem with your welding.
The neck transfer electrical current to the consumables from the cables. So if the neck connection is loosened, then it can cause poor electrical connectivity. So you must tighten the neck connection.
Control Track of The Heat:
Setting inappropriate duty cycle and the loose connection will cause the overheating of the machine. Alternatively, if the cables are getting heated faster then there has an error in them. Check The Wire:

If you notice that the spring liner is worn out then you have to replace them instantly. Because fault in spring liner will create a problem in feeding.
Clean The Diffuser Screw:
A diffuser screw must be clean regularly.
The Tip should be kept out of problems:
The tip is mostly replaceable part of a MIG welder because it takes extends heat and spatters. So if you notice any worn in the tip, then you should replace the advice instantly.
Check The Ground Properly:
And the last thing is to check the field accurately. If the ground is in a dangerous condition, then the wire may malfunction, and the tip may destroy by spattering. So you must check and clean the ground periodically.
